Pan-African Payments and Settlement System- The basics, what you need to know

for AfCFTA to be effective, the cost of money transfers across the continent must be lowered. The African Union supported by the  African Export Import Bank- AfriExim ,(Bank was established in Abuja, Nigeria in October, 1993 by African Governments, African private and institutional investors as well as non-African financial institutions and private investors for the purpose of financing, promoting and expanding intra-African and extra-African trade.) The bank has collaborated on the development of a Pan-African Payments and Settlement System -PAPSS a centralized payment system that will provide the infrastructure for intra Africa trade.

Why we give women ‘bad’ advice in the corporate world ..

Here is the dilemma I have when I talk to or speak on how women can thrive in corporate spaces.

The dilemma is between the work in the demolishing of the structural barriers, that make it difficult for, or at least slow women down in climbing the career ladder versus advising women on how to thrive and navigate within these structures and environments.

From the governmental perspective, the African countries that will win in the technology race and become the locations where global tech organizations want to open offices, and where startup’s want to expand to and grow in , will have to heavily engage in developing deliberate ICT policies that will provide a road map of growth and will direct the development of a systematic tech enabled environment for their citizens and investors.
